Rob LoBreglio (ロブ・ロブレグリオ)は、Great Dane Brewingの共同創業者であり、代表取締役社長兼ブリューマスターです。
1989年、アメリカにおけるクラフトビール黎明期から醸造の道を歩み始め、世界的に著名な醸造教育機関 Siebel Institute of Technology を修了しました。
1994年にはGreat Dane Brewingを共同創業。以来30年以上にわたり7,000回を超える醸造を手がけ、200種類以上のビアスタイルを生み出し、Great Dane Brewingをウィスコンシン州を代表するクラフトブルワリーへと育て上げました。
2012年には、アメリカ最大級のビールコンペティション Great American Beer Festival において 「Brewpub Brewmaster of the Year」 を受賞。また、アメリカやロシアで15以上のブルワリーの立ち上げに携わり、日本のクラフトビール文化を紹介するドキュメンタリー映画 『Craft Beer in Japan』 のホストも務めています。
Rob founded Great Dane in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1994 and built it into one of the region’s leading craft beer brands. A highly accomplished brewer, he was named the National Brewer of the Year in the United States in 2012.
Over three decades, Rob has helped shape Great Dane around a simple philosophy: brew great beer without compromise, create a place where people feel welcome, and build strong connections with the local community. His experience spans everything from developing award-winning beers and building brewery operations to creating the culture and identity that have defined Great Dane since its beginning.
Great Dane’s expansion into Japan was driven by Rob’s longstanding love for the country and his desire to bring the spirit of Wisconsin craft beer to Japan. Rather than simply overseeing the project from the United States, he committed himself personally to its success, purchasing a home in Akiu and relocating to Japan for the brewery’s opening.
Today, Rob continues to guide Great Dane as its founder and brewmaster, bringing more than 30 years of brewing experience to the team while helping connect Great Dane’s Wisconsin roots with its new home in Sendai.
